Sith Dynasty - Tulak Hord by LeadZero Sith Dynasty - Tulak Hord by LeadZero
TULAK HORD was among the ancient Sith masters, living around 5,100 years before the Battle of Yavin. Compared to the Ancient Sith masters, modern Jedi are as children playing with toys. It was said that Tulak Hord was the greatest of the Ancient lightsaber masters. He wore a claustrophobic black mask, making him a fear-inspiring sight.

This character has yet to appear ANYWHERE, and has only been mentioned in the "Knights of the Old Republic" games. The only reference I had for him was the mask, modeled from an in-game Sith mask, and from there I constructed a full-body composition based on it! Not too bad for my own design, if I do say so myself. :)

yu know why I love this design? because his armor here actually looks like it is in a similiar style to "lord kalligs" armor, who is one of the few known characters contemporary wih tulak horde.

and I think you might have done it by accident O _ O

at this point, the sith had actually managed to upgrade their lightsabers with smaller power packs... something the jedi hadn't managed yet.

Oh man here we go, that mask is wrong, there are other masks in kotor 1 and 2 that look exactly the same but with different names and functions. Secondly, maybe before or maybe after his time, the sith were the ones to create the modern lightsaber which came into the jedi order's possesion during the great hyperspace war, maybe Tulak Hord wielded one of these, but there's no definitive way to be sure, just seeing him with protosabers is weird.

Fine, figured you deserved a real answer. Alright, first of all, the mask provided in Kotor I and II, just like all the other ancient Sith equipment, do not fit the descriptions of the actual Sith Lords that they allegedly belong to. Exar Kun's armor for example--Exar Kun never wore torso armor. Tulak Hord is described as to having a black mask that strikes terror into the hearts of his foes. Now, I do admit that the mask I used in this picture does not fit that description either, and is in fact one of the meditation masks from one of the games, but I never really considered this the canon representation of him, but rather a stand-in, in case they ever do release a canon design for him. I terms of the lightsabers, I'm not sure why you felt that I needed a history lesson on that. It is well-known that Karness Muur, one of the founders of the Sith Order, himself carried a modern, cordless lightsaber. As well, Tulak Hord's lightsaber has recently become an obtainable item in the Old Republic game, confirming that he did in fact own a lightsaber. As for the reason why I chose to give him a proto-saber: purely aesthetic.

But honestly this design is quite dated, so if you can wait, I've already got a more accurate design drawn up, and might do a full good copy eventually.

Don't bring the old republic into this, that game has done horrible damage to the star wars eu. Oh, and Kreia in Kotor 2 already stated he had a lightsaber. I am also waiting for a canon design for him, if Obsidian Entertainment ever gets their chance at a true Kotor 3. (Though I personally think there should be a kotor 3 and 4 to establish a third sith character to join revan and The Jedi Exile)

As much as I don't really like The Old Republic either, I don't believe you have any right to argue Star Wars at all, if you can't accept the whole truth. Can you imagine how one-sided arguments would become, if you could just simply *choose* to ignore evidence? As well, I don't believe that filling in blanks in the continuity counts as "damage" to the canon, considering that there was no prior canon to begin with. Just because it doesn't fit your view, doesn't mean it didn't happen. Anyways, never did get to play KoTOR 1 or 2 completely, but I wouldn't mind a KoTOR 3 either, if only to contribute to the canon, and to have more Sith to draw (that don't look like transformers).
